Qingdao University of science and technology is famous for its strong rubber R & D strength. Langsheng industrial rubber products business department and Qingdao University of science and technology jointly signed the "rubber excellence partnership" agreement. According to the agreement, students of Qingdao University of science and technology will receive guidance from professors of the German rubber technology research institute. The German rubber technology research institute is a leading rubber research and development center in the world, and has carried out a series of successful cooperation with many universities

the two sides will select the two best students from the cooperation plan to go to Germany for a four week internship. During the internship, they will not only gain valuable experience working in the world's largest and most innovative synthetic rubber manufacturing enterprise, have the technical foundation for the production of printed circuit boards and the sales market system, but also have a deep understanding of LANXESS's corporate culture and leading technology

LANXESS butyl rubber business department has also reached a cooperation agreement with Qingdao University of science and technology on R & D. researchers from Qingdao University of science and technology will work with LANXESS's R & D team. Both sides will work together on butyl rubber cooperation and analysis research projects. The research will involve the analysis of the structural characteristics of vulcanized butyl rubber, and its mixing characteristics will be studied through machinery, rheology and microscope

This world-class research and development center is close to Qingdao University of science and technology, which is another milestone of LANXESS' close cooperation with the University. The total investment of the center is about US $16million, which is jointly responsible by LANXESS industrial rubber products business department, butyl rubber and high-performance CIS polybutadiene rubber business department. In 2009, the R & D center added a rubber mixing/testing laboratory with an area of 400 square meters and a 400 square meter pilot plant
